Thank you to NTEA Work Truck Show 2011 for honoring Energy Xtreme with the Green Award for Innovation in Fuel Utilization. Energy Xtreme was the only organization to receive the award at this year’s show. We are pleased to see our efforts in emission reduction and fuel savings receive such distinguished recognition!

Energy Xtreme’s Community Partner “Partnerships for Children” is fast approaching their deadline of December 10th to “adopt” an Austin-area child for Christmas.
Each year neglected and abused children in the Austin area must be removed from their homes by Child Protective Services caseworkers. Separations occur all year, but it is especially difficult during the holidays. Partnerships for Children is making a difference in the lives of these children and we invite you to join us by participating in our Holiday Wishes program. There are 600 children who still need to be “adopted” this year. Will you please help?
Get involved by:
• Sponsoring a child by purchasing items from their wish list
• Making a donation and we will shop for you
• Donating general gifts for children that are not matched to community donors

‘Testing’ our newest anti-idling solution for hydraulic bucket trucks seems to provide endless entertainment. Yes, our VP of Product Development, Ross, is at it again. It suffices to say that heights don’t phase this guy…
Energy Xtreme’s Partner in Community Commitment, Comfort the Children, debuted the CTC International Community Center in Kansas City during its “The Crossroads to Kenya” event last week. The building will be placed on the ground in Maai Mahiu, Kenya. Check their site again soon to see more photos and details!
Not only is the new community center impressive, but the event raised $10,000 to further CTC’s efforts toward community development in Kenya. Way to go, CTC!
Energy Xtreme’s Community Partner, Kids in a New Groove (KING), Hosts Successful Fall Fundraiser, While Changing Life of One Outstanding Student
Please join Energy Xtreme employees, who serve on the board and volunteer on a regular basis, in congratulating KING on a very successful Fall Fundraiser!
In August of this year we introduced you to Kids In A New Groove (KING), a 501c3 non-profit that provides private music instruction to kids in foster care by matching them with qualified music instructors. During the fall fundraiser KING raised funds to bring additional students into the program, and were able to change the life of one foster child in particular.
One of KING’s students went over and above what he has always been asked to accomplish in the KING program, by putting in extra time practicing, being attentive, and always being readily engaged with his teacher and the new tasks at hand. He was recently provided his very own guitar in reward for his hard work, and was asked to attend the fundraiser and perform on stage with Claire Small, and Alpha Rev’s Brian Batch.
In the car on his way back to his group home with the activities director, he fell asleep holding his guitar. She later wrote us saying, “The evening was magical for him, and I sincerely wanted to thank you guys for making his dreams come true. He often has a very flat affect, but his eyes lit up multiple times that night and he was filled with comments and questions on the way there and back. It was SO awesome to see him this way!”
Many foster kids, especially those living in group homes, do not get their moment to “shine,” and through the KING program, not only are these children getting the opportunity to do just that, but they are learning life skills, building self-confidence, and learning to trust again. KING is providing them with a mentor who is reliable and responsible, whom they can count on week in and week out to be there for them. Through this program, not only are the students bettering themselves, but KING is also bettering the community as a whole.
Energy Xtreme donated over $35,000 to this meaningful organization thus far in 2010. If you would like to donate, volunteer, or learn more about the KING program, please visit their website: www.kidsinanewgroove.org
In July we introduced you to CTC, a non-profit committed to education, environment, economy, health and community initiatives in Africa. Energy Xtreme is proud to support CTC’s efforts and recently sent jerseys to them for their soccer team. Above is a video of the team and below is a portion of their thank you letter:
…pretty awesome! They wore the jerseys the next day and won the tournament after 8 shootouts. Several of the mothers of the players later came and talked to Jeremiah and told him that the jerseys must have been blessed by God because not only did CTC win the tournament, but that night it rained…amazing!
Xtreme wins Season 2 | ATXFL: Austin’s Premier Adult Flag Football League
Energy Xtreme’s CEO, Devin Scott, has yet another accomplishment in which to take pride. Last Sunday, after a grueling second season and 2 concussions, he led his contact flag football team, “Xtreme”, to victory!
For you football fanatics, here’s the rundown from the playoffs:
Game 1 featured the #1 seeded Relax against the underdog Beast Mode squad. Plagued by turnovers, Beast Mode gave backup quarterback Hunter Coleman too many chances to drive down the field. In the end, Beast Mode was unable to put a drive together until the second half. By then, the deficit was too much to overcome. Relax wins 23-12 with only 13 players.
Game 2 saw the newcomer Blaze team, who won their division, against one of the deepest teams in the ATXFL- Xtreme. Stacked with talent and a veteran quarterback, Devin Scott at the helm, Xtreme scored early and often. The Xtreme defense was able to hold the highest scoring offense in the league to only 7 points. In the end, Blaze just couldn’t match up against Xtreme man-to-man and fell by a score of 26-7.
(Please note, the giant trophy seen in the team photo above is on our office conference table. No lie. If Devin keeps this up, perhaps we should think about investing in a trophy case.)
